The Word farewell by Francis Duggan

Mumbai attacks and finally, Ajmal Kasab hanged. 26/11, many families lost their loved ones and today, Kasab's family lost him. In the fight of terrorism, there is no winner. We have only losers. Hmmm....Mumbai attacks, (:....

I read a very lovely poem around 'Farewell'. I thought to blog for my family and friends in Delhi:)
I love the simple word hello
It always rings a joyful bell
But one of the saddest words i know
Is the oft times tearful word farewell.

The tearful mother hugs her son
Write to me when you're far away
And i will miss you when you're gone
And for your safe return I'll pray.

The word farewell oft times bring tears
And I've never known it to bring joy
In fact the time you say farewell
Could also mean your last goodbye.

I've used the word 'farewell' before
And I know what it really mean

My Daughter's Scorecard: My Best Medicine:)

I just entered home and I am really tired. But I got an email with my daughter's update around her academics. Her scorecard and it makes me happy to see that she is really doing good. I feel so fresh and relaxed after seeing her scores. It was one thing that as a sponsored mother makes me feel like a biological mother. Though, my daughter will never come and hug me to tell this but an email of her scorecard is like a hug from her end. It is true you grow with your children and you relive your childhood. 

Words are not powerful to express my sentiments but as a mother though sponsored, I feel at the top. Today, when I saw her latest photo with the scorecard, I forgot everything. I forgot what all happened in last few weeks. I forgot how people treated me. For a second, I understood that maybe 99% people did not understand me as a mother but 1% did understand me. I thought of few lines that encourage me to be what I am and live on my terms and conditions. Few inspiring lines by Mother Teresa....

A Day of Gifts:)

I am very happy as today was a 'day of gifts' for me:). My student gave me a very interesting gift and I felt so happy to see it. It is not about the gift but the sentiments or emotions involved. 

I also got a framed sketch of mine:). Initially, when I saw the sketch , I was offended. Today, when I saw the framed sketch with a note, I smiled and got it home. I thought it is better not to ask questions or react as there was a hope in one's note and let me make someone happy:). I thought to enjoy that moment as I felt special in a way:).

Do Not Stop Dreaming!

I woke up early as I had so much of work to complete. There is no holiday when you work for yourself. But I love my work and hectic schedules. It keeps me away from things that can bother my mind. And every minute passing makes you think, have I used my time effectively?

Anyways, it is Monday and you have to get up and go to office. The worst feeling is after a festive week and celebration, one does not feel to go back to work, right?

But if have dreams and you want to achieve them, then there is no Monday/Sunday/Friday in your life. Start your Monday with some meaningful quotes about ‘Dreams’. As I always write, ‘’Do Not Stop Dreaming in Life!’’

Quotes.....Friendship

I wrote a story for this day but as we say 'Man proposes, God disposes'. Maybe, God has his own vision and plans for everyone and I do not want to counter God. But as it is a day for me to write about friendship, all I could blog are some of my favourite quotes. Though, this is the last time, I will blog about friends on this day as life is to move on and at times, we should not remember dates :). Lights and Diyas: Happy Diwali:)


I got this as a parting gift and I blog it as my Diwali gift for my readers. I read the lyrics of this song from a movie ‘Thandavam’ and I could understand – ‘Nothing’J.

When I get tired while writing and no thoughts are floating into my mind, I listen to this small clip. I close my eyes and think of nature around me. I am working on my second emboss painting. For this Diwali, I am making diyas at home and hope to finish before I leave for Bangalore. I will put all the pictures on my art blog for art lovers.

I started the sponsorship fee of my daughter and there was a long gap. I was busy in work and really wanted to be stable financially J

At times, we give up but then there is a hope in heart and a wish in every prayer. If that hope in your heart and wish in your prayer is true and with complete honesty, God will never deny it!

I look forward to couple of meetings in this week and just keep my fingers crossed.
