You Must Read ;)

My friend used to ask me, how do I perceive him. Actually, it was a difficult question to answer but I always felt I cannot see God but I can imagine how God would be like. I think same stands true for you. An empty frame but an imagination like an idol of a God in a temple.

Yesterday, I wrote a post where I referred to the chapter - Practice Humility of the book 'Don't sweat the small stuff' by Richard Carlson. The chapter explains not to prove ourselves in every situation to live a peaceful life.

I wrote a write-up for FG around a story narrated to me by my husband when he went to US. I have presented the real - life incident as a semi- fictional story. In my life, relations failed irrespective of the fact we were blessed by all five senses. This story is about a friendship where two people could understand each other without interacting.

Please do read it for your friends and relations in life.

Words or meetings do not define any relationship or friendship. What really defines a friendship is our understanding and living that relationship or friendship with various elements involved.

Anyways, life is the best teacher for all of us.

Today, it is World No Tobacco Day - a request to my readers, please quit tobacco and live a healthy, happy life.

Good night;)

My First Marriage Proposal:)

My first marriage proposal was from my father's best friend's son. His son was a doctor in Dubai and my father's friend wanted him to get married to me. I was hardly 19, when I met him. My parents lied to me as they knew I would never marry at such a young age. I was told we are invited for the dinner at his place. The funny part was when we met he asked me a question, "what are your future plans?"

I thought it was a casual question as I had no clue about the entire meeting. Out of my innocence, I answered, "I will complete my graduation. Work for a year. Then get married and have four children."

The guy frowned and smiled at me. He turned to his right side and again smiled at me. He said politely, "Is this your career plan? Btw, why four children?"

Out of my naivety, I answered, "Yes, this is my career plan. Study, work and marry. Four children means it completes all the relations for siblings. Two brothers and two sisters mean a complete family forever."

When we reached home, my mother asked me about my opinion. I was confused as I never knew it was a marriage proposal, until a week later, when my parents disclosed the guy's response as a "yes".

And I was very sure, I am not going to marry at the age of 19. I took the whole house round and round with my questions and arguments.

It was a funny incident, and I was thinking about my being so naive and stupid while answering his questions. I actually wonder what made him say 'yes' to my naivety.

Anyways, I guess some memories make us realise that with time and situations we change a lot. Maybe, I have also changed. Just think of any one such instance and laugh it off.

Happy weekend!

Richard Carlson Helped Me!

I got Myra and Clara to my home. They are two months old love birds. Of course, they are not replacement of Luna who died almost a month back. There are no replacements for some relations in life. I always believed some people, many emotions and some relations can never be replaced (:. They live within us till we live no matter whether we ever see or talk to them again in our lives, they live within us!

I am writing a poem for FG and I am sharing the ending lines of my poem. I cried after writing this poem. It is yet to be edited but I thought to share few lines with my readers.

The burning soul asks me,
How was she different from a man?
Why could not they value her education,
Her awards and unconquerable achievements,
Why they wanted to buy her in the name of marriage,
Her broken red bangles and her wedding gown,
Tells the misery of her being set on fire,
In the name of dowry.

While sitting at the hospital in the afternoon and trying to understand my actions, I was reading the chapter - practice humility in the book written by Richard Carlson - Don't sweat the small stuff. In the chapter, the author really helped me by explaining that it is not necessary to prove yourself every time. At times, not proving yourself, and taking up the things in stride can give you a peaceful life.

A call in the morning was handled by me in a similar way. I took all the blame rather than proving myself like I always did in the last 9 years. I gave the person a leverage over me to enjoy that he or she is the winner, and I agree to lose for my peace. I always tried to prove myself and got hurt in return.

I might not be the winner or the loser but I am at peace now. My health needs a peaceful mind. Being away from FB, same social talks around me in my real life, same fights or arguments et al, I have got lost somewhere.

Sometimes, I wonder how do I live with so many physical pains. People call me optimistic or an example for others. I know deep within inside me, I am not a very positive person. It is just that I am living with pain as I have to die with the pain ;)

But some day, some time of the week, a day in a month or a moment in a year, you will feel - someone should at least ask me how do I manage? Do I also need to talk? Do I also have some problem?

But the fact is that day never comes. But I still have one thing that will drive me always - Hope!

Is It So Hard To Ask For An Apology?

My husband and I were really unwell. We felt helpless as when his medication got over, mine started.

Lol....I actually felt like crying!

My friend used to tease me, 'Do you own a factory of 'sorry'?'

Strange question, when a friend asks you, as you expect him or her to understand you. But I always said sorry to avoid confrontations. It might not have made things better but would have saved them from being worse. When you love friends, you do not feel bad in apologising. Anyways. I did it for many people in my life, and no regrets at all.

We were waiting at the hospital, when we were told that the senior doctor who was supposed to examine had left for the day. My husband was in so much pain and there was no reason for me not to ask - why we were not informed like other patients. To which I was told, they missed calling us. I thought to call the Senior Consultant and check what to do now?

The Senior Consultant answered my call. The first few words consoled me.

'My friend, I really apologise but my flight landed in the morning, and I could not make it to the hospital. I know you are in pain so my associate will treat you. He is as competent as me. All I can say to compensate your time is just a 'sorry''.

Trust me readers, I felt so much better and calm. I felt better not because of the apology but the way he answered my call, and empathised with our situation. Again, words play a very important role.

I am still not well to work or write much but somewhere thought to blog. Do not be bad at asking for an apology. If you can do mistakes as a human being, have the courage to ask for an apology. The one who forgives is always more stronger than the one who asks for an apology.

Remember, we are only accountable for our actions. God can forgive us for so many mistakes we make, why can't we......THINK.....

Why to Discriminate?

I experienced the worst thing of my life. For the first time, I felt as if I wasted so many years in explaining my people and friends not to divide our country into pieces. Where I cleared my license test, I failed in keeping my promise. I never used such a dirty abusive language but situation demanded me to voice out. I had no choice but to shout and stand for my rights and many other people mainly women. Being fair could be a reason of discrimination. If you do not speak regional language, you are insulted for being of the same nationality. Strange, I revisited all bad memories of few months back. You have to change to tell, I am not born to be slaughtered or called names. I am educated and one of you. Let me live with respect. If you are a woman, stand for your rights and voice out the discrimination on the basis of sex, colour, caste or language. I did and have no regrets. I would not let people call me names as I do not disrespect anyone. But yes, I will definitely voice out if others call me names. A poem for a bad day but a positive learning.

Racism a nasty word
that conjures thoughts
of oppressive deeds
made by man because
of creed.
Discrimination another one
that binds our minds
and sharpens tongues
because of some elitist thought
that's unjust and plainly wrong.
Fighting wars because of God?
Trampling on the underdog.
But we have legislation
to banish discrimination.
'Equal opportunity'
is the current phrase; our incantation.

The rules and laws
are needed where
some of us would dare
to think in ways that denigrate
others on this Earth; our place.
Racism? There is just one human race
no matter what form the face.
And discrimination
a faculty we all posses
to separate what's bad from best.
Discrimination would be good
if it were used for what it does;
revealing what unites ALL of us.

Chocolate Fudge - A Meaningful Message

I just finished my first project and got paid for the same. I really need to get back to writing projects for next month. I am sharing a bite of my Chocolate Fudge with all my readers:). I have not baked them but I think I can make better than this. Though, there are hardly any left and I got appreciation for my efforts but I am not very convinced. Virgos are good at self-appraising their work. Till the time, I am not convinced, I keep trying. Here is a small message - you know what you want in your life and how you want things in your life. You are the decision maker and judge of your actions and efforts. At the end of the day, you are the only one accountable for you life.

Chocolate Fudge!

I just completed my first assignment and I thought to try something new. I have made chocolate fudge and it is yet to be served. Once it is firmly set, I will blog the pictures of my fudge.

You will feel good, when you try something new. I had a weird dream last night. In my dream, I got married to Salman Khan...LOL:)

Anyways, I plan to complete my writing job at least for an hour. It was a usual day nothing much to do other than work. My Nigerian author friend is coming to Mumbai next month and I am planning to visit her. It feels good when someone from some other country can relate to you and show a desire to meet you. Life is short and I do not want to miss on the chance to meet people who love me.

Will share a bite of my fudge tomorrow!

Cheers!

You Will Like It!

It is raining and I am listening to one of my favourite song. Well, I am blogging the link to the video of this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy7_BBoUi8I

Have fun, get drenched and love yourself.

I never liked rains but somehow I have started liking rains. Or I must write while swimming or walking, if it rains, I feel rejuvenated.

I just want to close my eyes and listen to this music, and sleep now!

Good Night!

Inspiring Women - Ted Talk (Why we have too few women leaders)

WOW!

This is it! I am still to complete my today's work but I was watching this video while having my lunch. Actually, lunch time is the only time for me to read a book or watch a good video. It is my learning time:). Here we go...it is right to say that women are not only meant for house. They can do as good as others in any of the areas of life. But yes her home is also her area of specialisation.

A great ted talk video by Sheryl Sandberg -

She is discusing three points in her talk and please my women readers, do listen to them CAREFULLY....

There is a world out of your home.

Sphoorti......Cheers!

I just finished my work for the day. I am yet to start with my writing project. It is a strange fact that a man never understands that a woman's concern for him is her love for his well being. Whether it is a friendship or marriage:). My concern for my father, my husband, my brothers, my friends are my love for their well being!

I have a great news to share around my daughter's school - Sphoorti.org.  I am not going to disclose the surprise but I request my readers to click and view the results at the link below. I am happy to be associated with Sphoorti. Again a piece of credit goes to the gentleman who gave me the idea of sponsorship. He might not ever come to know as I never got a chance to tell him BUT no matter what happened in our lives, he deserves the credit of it.

http://greatnonprofits.org/org/sphoorti-foundation

I am very grateful that Sphoorti could go that far from where it started couple of years back. As a mother and a contributor at Sphoorti, I am really proud of this news.

Cheers!

Something Made Me Really Happy!

It was not my day. My husband was not well and I was awake since 3 am in the morning. No option my housekeeping lady did not come, and I had 130 records to be search alongwith writing.

I entered the pool and it started raining heavily. I really enjoyed as I felt closer to nature; out of my fears and inhibitions of open pools in Bangalore. Strange, we completed our first year in Bangalore.

I was just thinking why God select few people to sacrifice in life and others to benefit out of one's sacrifice. I read something that really touched my heart. God knows who is the strongest of all. He knows who has a bigger heart to bear the pain and still smile, as if nothing happened. He knows who can travel the journey of pain and still stand with others in their sorrows. God select the BEST over the REST to sacrifice.

Fact is that we might find it easy to read but difficult to follow:)

What made me happy?

I just visited Carol's site to submit a story and she made me feel so special when I saw a link that refers to - Our Very Own Archana - Her Second Book

Check the link and you can also read some great inspirational stories on this website - http://www.talesofkindness.com/

The words - Our Very Own Archana touched my heart. We have never met but still the way she referred me, made me really happy.

Remember, 'Words Have A Life'. Where words can make you cry, words can also make you feel great and special.

Happy Monday............

Latest Write-up in FG

Here is the link to my latest write-up in Friday Gurgaon. A poem written by me and somewhere dedicated to my bird Luna....

http://www.fridaygurgaon.com/news/3354-The-View-From-The-Inside.html

Life is a mine of problems but you can change the way you look at it. If you cannot change the flow of water, just change your way.

Good Night!

Googley Bear - Ganesha By Rice!

I have named my painting of Ganesha made by coloured rice. I coloured rice and used rubber synthetic adhesive to paste the rice. I have used pulses for the outlines of Ganesha and tried to make it colourful. I call it as - Googley Bear. Lord Ganesha is a saviour for me in all the problems. Lord Ganesha gives me answer to my all questions. I could not think of a better title for this painting.

Check my Art Blog to view my latest painting.

Googley Bear!

I have almost contributed 4 hours to my research project and I am feeling like a Googley Bear. My friend used to call me as I always keeping searching things here and there. While talking to him, Google was my saviour:). He was too perfect for an imperfect person like me...Anyways!

QUIT SMOKING/TOBACCO and do a favour to your life. I thought to post something that can make a difference to our lives. I guess - a small step to quit a bad habit might be a good idea.

I have named my latest painting as 'Googley Bear' as I have made it while doing my research project and somewhere, the word - 'Googley Bear' came into my mind. I will post the picture of my painting tonight for my readers on my blogs.

Cheers!

:) - Part of Me!!

I just woke up and I am feeling so good. No back pain and lot of good energy. I started my day with a new chapter of 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff' followed by ten minutes of meditation.

It feels great, when you look up to someone and you become friends with him/her. I have always watched Jimmy Shea's videos and recently wrote a message to him. I am a big fan of Jimmy Shea. And in return he sent me a friend request on FB. No reason, not to accept. I loved his swimming lessons, and he inspires me to swim better. I was not expecting such a great start of my day:)

I have work but I just made a plan to allocate time to each category of work. Four hours to my 526 record of research work and 2 hours to writing.

I want to be 40% housewife and 60% working woman. It is a difficult balance but not impossible. I think of a very nice song by Katy Perry - Part of Me..

At times, you may fail personally but you will balance it professionally as it is a 'Part Of You'.

Cheers!

(:..(:

I just completed my internet project and had some time to think silly things. Whenever I am free, I go back into the past and just get upset. Panacea of my problem is to be to occupied. But too much work means back pain. But I am not going to give up. I have to get back to writing and send my work to FG for the coming weeks. Edit it and add some good quotes to my write-ups. It is good to be occupied at least for me, it is the only medicine for my mind (:...LOL!

I changed the ring tone of my mobile from Thandavam to Tum Hi a song from Aashique 2. It is funny as Aditya Roy Kapur brings a smile on my face. I like him. Why am I blushing while blogging about him :)..Sometimes some faces makes us feel good. I will complete my canvas in another few hours, and will share my favourite painting on my art blog.

GTG....

Cheers!

Around Me:)

It is such a wonderful day. I feel ecstatic about everything around me. My husband was the first one to wish me - 'Happy Mother's Day'. He believes me to be a responsible mother. I messaged my all friends, and their prompt responses, 'same to you', makes me feel so happy. We had a small celebration for Mother's Day, and my two recent published books.

I took almost 4 years, to make people accept the fact that I am a mother of all the 92 kids at Sphoorti, and I never looked back. Where there is a will, there is a way! I have no regrets.

I have a very hectic week ahead of me. I have so much of work to be completed. My biggest canvas is to be completed, my license, my work for Friday Gurgaon and a surprise - just started with my another book which will take a year's time. I am making a very big canvas, and I have to complete it before my Tanjore Painting classes initiate. It is a great feeling to be busy and just busy!

I have also started marketing my kindle book. This week is dedicated to take the opportunity to market my book - The Fragrance of a Beautiful Life. It's Monday, give a bigger smile to yourself. Start the first day with three things - smile, energy and positivity.

Happy Monday!!

Gift for Mother's Day...Kindle Project

Every woman has a mother hidden in her personality. But my kindle project is a gift for my mother and my daughter. I just completed my first independent Kindle Book, and is under the technical verifiication process conducted by Amazon KDP Team.

I would love to share the details of my first Kindle Book on Mother's Day - 12th May 2013, but I will simply end this post with a beautiful quote -

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us. When trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.”

Happy Mother's Day!

Latest Write-up in FG - Mother's Day!

My latest write-up in Friday Gurgaon for Mother's Day  -

I was quite upset last night, and my all joint pains aggravated. I revisited some of the happy moments of my life with my mother and daughter, just meditated for few minutes and got back to my work. The mother-daughter-mother is the best relationship or best friendship for any woman. I hope my readers enjoy reading this write-up. You can share with your mother as well.

I feel positive about one thing about myself - I am learning to let it go off. At times, I feel to have short memory loss but it would not work for me. I have to learn to let go off my good or bad memories, like my worn out clothes, or my torn shoes. I will try till I do not succeed. Life lessons are to be learned. I will not strive to get back all the things that life has taken away. Just try to weave a new life for myself. I cannot change others but I can change myself. I will, no matter what, but I WILL! I know my journey is very tough with so many medical problems, but that is the challenge for me.

I have given up makeup for last two months. I do not apply any product on my face other than a kajal and a strawberry lip gloss. Being closer to originality is being you at times. I feel myself, when I am just 'senza makeup'.

I believe the essence of life - set challenges for yourself. It makes you move on in the right direction. It is good to be aggressive with yourself rather than living a miserable life.

I think of a song - Milne Mujhse Se Aayi ...Btw, I really like Aditya Roy Kapur..:)

Few lines written by me as I complete my Kindle Project and ready to upload the files.

I hope my misery comes to an end,
When I am set free to fly high,
More and more birds will flock together,
They will migrate from one place to another,
Some will die of hunger,
Giving dignity to life,
I die daily,
Caged in a place where I can only cry.

:)

Yipee!

Related to the previous post - http://doyouthinkyouareliving.blogspot.in/2013/05/itna-maza-kyun-aa-raha-hai.html.

I am sharing the pictures of my wrapped 130+ chocolates (hazelnut chocolates, jam chocolates, peanut butter chocolates, butterscotch chocolates, et al) in all these four boxes.

:)

Itna Maza Kyun Aa Raha Hai...:)

VOILA!

The dimple on my left cheek just got BIGGER! My friends always tell me - you can keep a coin there!

Itna maza kyun aa raha hai
Tu ne hawaa mein bhaang milaaya
Duguna nashaa kyun ho rahaa hai
Aankhon se meethaa tu ne khilaayaa

This is what I feel after seeing all my chocolates...Kuch meetha ho jayi!

I made caramel hazelnut chocolates and peanut butter chocolates as well. I will post the pictures of my first chocolate session where I have made 120+ chocolates, and also got paid for it. Money makes you feel so good............:).

As I posted in yesterday's post - http://doyouthinkyouareliving.blogspot.in/2013/05/last-section-kindle-edition.html, I did the technical verification of my Kindle Project, and it looks really good. Hope it is completed before 12th May, 2013.

:)....Have a sweettttttt sugaryyyyyyyyy dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Last Section - Kindle Edition

I am almost done with the last section of my Kindle Edition, and almost done with the editing.

I will upload it to see the technical performance of it. I am really tired and want to sleep. I wrote few lines as a part of the last section of my book. I am sharing it here on my blog:

I am a bird in a gilded cage,
I look astonishingly at the sky,
I try to understand deep within inside of me,
How does it feel to fly?
The chirping of the birds flying over the lake,
High and high in the sky,
Makes me feel sad,
And I almost cry.

Once I was asked whom does a man respect the most?

My answer was - his mother and any woman who is a mother (definitely a biological mother). A man will not show respect for any woman who is not a mother.

When I was writing the last section of my kindle book, I wrote a poem around the same concept - how a woman feels if she is not a mother and is simply humiliated at different stages of life by people around her.

Good Night!

Who am I to....?

I was listening to this song and a thought came.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2v_kjAkYbY

At times, the ground reality hurts!

You do so much but there is something that always stop you to come forward and tell, 'Yes, I am your sponsored mother'. My daughter knows me as 'Akka' and she will never come to know who am I to her. All that I blog here or my feelings - 'she will never come to know'. I think I am right by not sharing my role in her life but it hurts me. But there is no point of sharing it also. She lost her parents in 2005 and she is out of it, happily. I do not want her to experience the same pain again. Either one us deserve the pain, and it should not be my daughter.

Years will pass and time will fly. She might get to read my books or my blogs (if I do not take them off till that time). Like for many others in my life, I will never come in front of her as a mother. She might remember my name but nothing more than that. Just the way, I walked out of many lives for their good, I will remain in my daughter's life just as 'akka'. Many are born to 'take', few to 'give' and very rare to 'sacrifice' in life. As I always write - 'destiny'........my destiny........

I could not think of a better gift for my daughter in this lifetime or any 'Mother's Day'....Btw, I must get back to my work now..................:)

:)!

Take a Moment!

I just got up. I was so tired as I had lot of things to finish before Tuesday starts.

Every Mother's Day remind me of a gentleman who gave me the idea to sponsor a child. No matter what .....I will always take a moment to thank that person and believe in a fact - this was the only reason I met the gentleman. I pray for him and give a piece of my credit to him. I take a moment to thank my husband and my parents. I take a moment to thank Sphoorti. Above all, I thank my God!

Just take a moment and thank everyone who made you a successful mother. Mother's Day is not only to acknowledge mother but also people who make a woman get into the role of a successful mother.

Take a moment to look around and convey your wishes and prayers to your people who help you in carrying out your daily activities as a mother. Take a moment who pray for all those who helped you so far in bringing up your child. It will not take more than a minute to think and take a moment!

It's Monday - :) OR (:

:)...or (:...choice is yours!

I feel :). I do not know but when I am idle, I am more frustrated and vulnerable. Finally, I understood my problem. For me, work is my life. I do not want to rest even for a second. When Monday comes, I feel ecstatic. I set my weekly plan around work, my targets, my follow ups and my weekly learning curve. I see this week as a very hectic week for myself.

Half of life's puzzles are solved, if we know and understand, what we want from ourselves. I dedicate this week to work and celebration of Mother's Day.

Start you day with a smile and if it is Monday, then it needs to be a BIGGER one!

I need to get back to my work. Happy Monday!

Cheers:)

A Spa Burner.....

I want to fill positivity around me in all the ways. My husband and I walked to the mall to buy a spa burner. I am really excited to use it from tomorrow. I picked a blue colored ceramic burner, a bottle of jasmine oil, and 50 tealight candles.

It is just a way to fill my surroundings with an aroma that can help me to concentrate and feel energetic. I want to experience immense positivity around myself. It is believed that it also helps in relieving joint pains.

I am really tired and just want to sleep to start a new week with lot of energy and happiness.

Good Night!

After 2 Years....:)

I am almost on the right track. I drove my husband's car after two years. I could not believe but I managed to drive his car. But still long way to go. The only reason, I want to drive is to go to Hyderabad, and meet my daughter. In case, my family is occupied, I should know how to manage to drive to Hyderabad. Again my daughter and my children at Sphoorti drives me to grow as a better person.

I am very happy and contented with myself. I have to get up early for my yoga class. So, I should sleep now. But a message for my readers. Our children play a very vital role in making us better parents.

Cheers:)

Lastest Write-up in FG - A poem for Mother's Day

Dear Readers -

12th May is International Mother's Day, and a reason to acknowledge God's best creation - Mother. I wrote a poem for the Mother's Day, and is published in the latest edition of FG. To read my poem, please click the below link:

Respect every woman, as in every woman, there is a mother!

I Wrote To Him....-:)

I always tell my daughter to thank people for being good. Do not owe it. But in the race of life and work or maybe out of confusion or bad times, I just forgot it.

I put my framed sketch on my room wall, and realised that I never thanked the guy. I wrote to him after so many months. I was not expecting a response but was shocked with his prompt response. I just wanted to convey few words to acknowledge his art:). I just wrote a line - 'I owe you a coffee or a lunch for the sketch'. I do not know why I did not thank him at that time. I forgot to preach what I teach:)

His words were so much full of respect, and I was touched by one line " you are a very beautiful and strong person. The sketch is to remind you of your strength as I read your blogs." As a woman, all I demand was respect. A pinch of salt in food can make it tasty. Similarly, for any woman, just few words of respect can motivate them. I was reading a book about sex workers. I realised - they also demand just 'respect'.

I realised one thing about missing on good moments. The best part to move on in life is when you start catching up with the lost time and people you ignored so far. I have started catching up with the lost time, and people I just forgot to connect. I just want to move on and on and on:). I share a fact - to move on, it is mandate to involve yourself into activities you never thought about. I just made a list of my plans for next few weeks. Yeah, I am feeling quite good as I lost 4 kgs in last 2 weeks after my treatment. I am feeling confident. Thanks to everyone who read me so far. I am just writing the last section of my kindle book and maybe you see it live soon................!

Cheers...:)

Btw, I forgot to share the stats for the month of April, 2013. We had almost 985 hits.  I am very happy with the numbers.

Few Lines - Meri eyes main hain dreams, mere dil ko lag gaye wings!

Badtameez Day - Chocolate Day -:)

I am almost done with my chocolates and I am thankful to Ranbir Kapoor's song - Badtameez Dil. It really kept my energies high. I liked the song though not great lyrics but a funny number. Ranbir Kapoor looks dapper and handsome like always. I just admire him in all his roles. He is a great actor and so good looking:)

Chocolate day for a chocolate boy - Ranbir Kapoor:)

I made all the chocolates while listening to this perfect number of Ranbir Kapoor - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXfW3LyixIM

Have a Badtameez Day:)...........

Cheers!

R.I.P Sarabjit - Defeat of Humanity OR Victory of Enemity!

I thought not to blog for the day as I am overwhelmed with work. I did not get time for my lunch also. But I am writing this for Sarabjit who died in Pakistan among his own hidden tears, broken emotions and memories of his past days of India. I can empathise with Sarabjit as it is a misery when your people are near but too far (you cannot talk to them) due to social obligations, promises or commitments. In Sarabjit's case, it was even tougher. There would have been moments where he would have missed his family - care of his mother, love of his wife and responsibility of his daughters. There would have been moments where he would have missed pouring his heart out to his own people. There is a quote by Kahlil Gibran - "We shall never understand one another until we reduce the language to seven words." I think to understand one another we just need to know four letters of 'LOVE' and not 'HATE'.

It was so tragic as when his family could reach him, he was in a state of coma. It was hurtful that he could not meet his own people before leaving them forever. He was not given a chance to express, how he felt in these 23 years? Somewhere, his tragic story had touched my heart. I will pray for his family but an open question for all of us.

Is it a sad news for India or a significant news in Pakistan? Is it a defeat or a victory?

In simple words, it is defeat of humanity and victory of enemity.

I do not want to write what happened and how it happened. For my inner feeling and for the first time on my blog, I ask 'WHY' it happened?

R.I.P Sarabjit!

I Am So Happy ....:))))

I do not know but I am just too happy. My bird helped me to get over so many memories. Finally, I  have moved on happily. Thanks Luna!...There is a reason for everything that happens!

Today, everything seems just perfect. It was a girl's day out, and I got an order to make 200 chocolates. I could pay for my daughter's school fees and uniform from my first salary as my reader's would have read in yesterday's post (http://doyouthinkyouareliving.blogspot.in/2013/05/i-am-proud-mother.html).

I did some silly shopping. I wore my best black anarkali with antique jewellery, and got loads of compliments. I am almost ready to get my driving license, and thinking to buy my own car!

WOW!

It is like as if I am in love with myself. I kept looking at myself in the mirror trying all the dresses in my wardrobe. I just started the biggest canvas with a new painting that I intend to finish before Mother's Day. My kindle project is almost complete, my first self-published book to be released and I got the sketch (made by a fan of mine) finally framed. I am breathless now.

I am really happy about everything around me, I just missed my workouts and went for a long walk. My daughter has given me a reason to work more and earn better. She has made me do so many things, I hesitated to do. Few lines for this beautiful time in my life - a song from Aashiqui 2 for my bonding with her.

Chahun Main Ya Naa.....lol!....I am so damn happy!

You can listen it here -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DarZDzAvba0

LOL!

I Am A Proud Mother!

Yes, it is the first day of Mother's Month on my blog. I am very happy as I got my salary after 5 years. But I am happy as I just paid for my daughter's uniform. I am proud of this moment. It makes me feel so complete and good. I see the benefit of my writing after paying for her school fee.

This post is to acknowledge all the adopted and sponsored mothers with a thought - 'In every women, there is a mother'. You do not have to give birth to a child to be addressed as a mother. If you can be compassionate and responsible for any child, there is a mother in you. I sold out my all gold ornaments in 2009 gifted by my parents, as I wanted to take the responsibility of my daughter. At that time, the feeling to be a successful mother was more significant to me than my jewellery. It was my decision and I wanted to take it forward. But yes, my husband and my parents were my strength pillars. We all could do it for my daughter.

Remember, mother is beyond the word 'biological mother'. If you believe in yourself as a mother, you are on the right road of life. If you respect your decision, do not worry about the criticisms or tags. Somewhere, we all are tagged as 'good' or 'bad' at different stages of life. You need to decide what you want from your life. You just get one life ONLY!

If you want to help my daughter's NGO by funding for their school uniforms, here is the link for my readers - www.sphoorti.org

Cheers to all the adopted and sponsored mothers for their will power and strength to face the world and stand as proud mothers!
