HUM MEIN HAI HERO.....!!!

This is a TV Commercial but somewhere it is good motivation for all of us. Conquering your fears is the first step to be a HERO. When I write 'HERO', it means 'HERO' in your own eyes. You should be happy and proud to see that person into the mirror. It is not how others take you, it matters how you respect yourself when you face yourself into the mirror.

Hum Mein Hai Hero!

So be a hero in your eyes and you will see world will follow you:)

Lord Ganesha For You!

Few lines that will give you happiness and peace. Ganesha leaves us with these lines for a better year ahead. Just close your eyes and chant these lines. As I am bad with Sanskrit and Hindi. Indeed, I cannot read either of them so I put the lyrics in English so that my chanting is flawless:). This is the way I chant all mantras by downloading the mp3s and the English lyrics. This is really helpful. Lord Ganesha just for us!

Failure is a road to Success!

"I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot . . . and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why . . . I succeed." -Michael Jordan

This is very true when it comes to our lives. We all have failed at some point of time. That failure has been a reason or road to success later. But I think I have more failures than anyone I know around me. But each failure gave me a reason to strive and do better to sustain this life.

I share two small stories here from my personal life but not today. I will post in a day as I really need to recollect how I felt at that time and how I moved on with determination.

For now after a month’s medical break, I am back to my work from tomorrow as a swimming coach for my studentsJ.  It is strange my students are all above 40 and it is a good feeling to train people with medical problems.

One more update as I posted on my FB, I am about to make my two years old dream come true - to learn kickboxing. My first class is on Monday with my trainer. So I am looking forward to my class. I think both the updates prove the lines that I took as the beginning of my post. But I will share my stories with my readers soon!

Until then...love you all

Realize your dreams and make them come true....You will not get another lifeJ

Dolce Vita!

Start Where You Stand!

Amilo Tutti

Dolce Vita!

What is one such thing common about all of us?

We all somewhere go into our past and start the permutations and combinations game. We become judgemental about our present by peeping into our past that has NO significance in our present and definitely no connection to our future.

YES! I agree I was the one who blogged saying – Go Learn from your mistakes but that is just to learn where you went wrong in your life in your past. I never posted saying that carry your past while you are far away from it.

Past will never let you grow and the more you crib around it, the more you lose control on your present. This is a lesson we are taught even in Art of Living that live in your present. There is no such thing ‘past’ or ‘future’. Your journey should be around how to better your present not what you lost in past and how you got defeated. If you are alive even after a single defeat in life that means you are a winner and your past is nothing but a small challenge to judge your will power and strength.

I read a very nice poem written by Berton Braley

I am posting it as a part of this postJ. Read and enjoy!

Start where you stand and never mind the past,
The past won't help you in beginning new,
If you have left it all behind at last
Why, that's enough, you're done with it, you're through;
This is another chapter in the book,
This is another race that you have planned,
Don't give the vanished days a backward look,
Start where you stand.

The world won't care about your old defeats
If you can start anew and win success,
The future is your time, and time is fleet
And there is much of work and strain and stress;
Forget the buried woes and dead despairs,
Here is a brand new trial right at hand,
The future is for him who does and dares,
Start where you stand.

Old failures will not halt, old triumphs aid,
To-day's the thing, to-morrow soon will be;
Get in the fight and face it unafraid,
And leave the past to ancient history;
What has been, has been; yesterday is dead
And by it you are neither blessed nor banned,
Take courage, man, be brave and drive ahead,
Start where you stand.

Start your day with a note ‘I will live in PRESENT ONLY!’

Teacher's Day for Me is....!!

I am late to post this but I had a reason. I do not want to write anything that does not come from my heart. My blog is replica of me so it has to be around what I feel and write!
It was Teacher’s Day yesterday and I thought what is the definition of a teacher for me? I saw so many of my FB friends posting on their walls and making this day special for their teachers – all those who made them what they are.

I am confused. Why?

For me my teachers are the best thing that happened to me as they helped me to be what I am today but I take this day somewhat different from others. Life is the best teacher for me as it taught me millions of things and I owe my thanks to all those who were, are and will be part of this journey called LIFE as somewhere they helped me to grow and learn. In short they have been like teachers to me through the best teacher called ‘LIFE’.

From parents to relatives, from friends to enemies, from doctors to medicines, from husband to daughter, everyone has taught me something. HOW?

Parents taught me to be independent and live by earning myself. They give me the lesson to trust and love. They taught me the patience to be a mother. They taught me to sacrifice for others. They helped me to understand what is required to make a family and relationshipJ

Teachers taught me to struggle and give the best of you. Their teachings helped to climb the stairs of life with a simple learning – ‘No Pain No Gain’

Friends taught me to love unconditionally. They taught me what is the meaning of words like help and understanding? They made me realise how to feel special and make others feel special. They gave me an umbrella when I had no shelter. They helped to cry and smile when nobody was there. They taught me what is called ‘LOVE’?

EnemiesJ taught me how to deal with the situations when you are called names and much more. They taught me how to swallow harsh words and situations in a polite manner with a small answer ‘Anything Else You Wanna Say To Me’. This is my response to all the names I have been called till date. They taught how to forgive and forget. They taught me I am no great. They taught me how to trust and whom to trust. They taught me life is not only bed of roses but iron rust. They taught me how you feel when you heart is broken and you still smile for others to be happy but those others turned to be your biggest enemies.

Doctors taught me how to ignore problems and move on with a positive mind.

My husband and my daughter make my family and they complete me. They taught me that they are happy if I am happy. They taught me that Love is about Giving not Receiving!

So somewhere all the people I have met in life are my teachers. I owe my wishes of Teacher’s Day to all of themJ

That’s my way of taking this day. Learn from every instance of life to know that it is your best teacher.

From Eid to Ganesha Chaturthi

Being unwell I could not post anything around Eid and Ganesha Chaturthi. Still trying to pace up I just want to wish all my readers a very Belated Happy Eid and Ganesha ChaturthiJ

The best thing about our country is its diversity. For last one month Hyderabad is like a decked up bride Ramadan following Ganesha Chaturthi. It feels so good to see people of different cultures and religions celebrating their happiness together. Atleast for a while I feel no sickness:)

Every religion and festival is around the same message – victory of good over evil. A sign of humanity and wisdom.

Ganesha Chaturthi is a Hindu festival of Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, who is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his devotees. It is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. It is the birthday of Lord Ganesha. Where I pray God Hanuman known as God of Strength, I equally welcome Lord Ganesha – God of Happiness and Good Luck!

Not exerting myself more, I take a leave for a while wishing everyone a Very Happy Ganesha Chaturthi.
