Diana Nyad - My Inspiration of last wish......

I could live my last wish and what really helped me was a quote by Diana Nyad

“A lot of athletes have this sort of invincibility: [The jellyfish] should worry about me. I don't worry about them. I'll just swim right through them.”

I could dive till 7m and it was an achievement for me. My back and knees could not help me to go further as the weight of gadgets and fins pulled me up!

I decided to unpublished my Arthritis Blog in the month of June 2013, and the idea was to publish it again once I live to experience my last wish.

I am publishing my blog for my readers as I could do it. But I want to be honest that my inspiration to   focus around my wish is the story of Diana Nyad. I just watched her latest TED talk video. I am sharing the link on my blog for my readers...

I workout daily but not with an idea to be thin but to be fit. Most of the Indian women around me want to be thin to look good but the story of Diana Nyad is a must watch to understand that live for your dreams. I really worked very hard for my last wish. For last three months, I strengthened my back and knees, workout helped me to gain leg muscle that increased my weight by 2 kgs as it was a mandate for diving. I always wanted to be fit not thin. Diana Nyad at the age of 64 changed the definition of many things in my life.

Cheers!

Last Christmas....I Gave You My Heart

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart.....this is one of my favourite Christmas songs, and yes it is my ringtone  till Christmas. Here is the link for my readers....I just love this song........

Since morning, I have been listening to Christmas songs. My another favourite is "All I want this Christmas is you".

Last few days of 2013, be good to everyone, spread loads of love, and end it happily....else you will not get any presents.....:))

Cheers!

A Christmas Carol

I was awake and reading some famous Christmas Carols. I really enjoyed this Carol as it complements my excitement for Christmas 2013.

It's Beginning to Look
a Lot Like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Waiting For Christmas......Excited....!

Omg! I do not know but when Christmas is around, I feel so excited and happy. I feel as if I am the most beautiful, adorable and happy person. Everything around me is red. All malls are decorated with beautiful red and white accessories. Red is my favourite colour. It gives me energy - positive energy. I feel to fall in love with life and myself. Without makeup, I can feel the charm and the inner glow. Red accessories keep my spirits too high. Red - colour of love, desire, anger and success.

I have almost arranged my all Christmas stuff. I bought poinsettia flowers, my first Christmas tree and it's beautiful accessories. I have also decorated my door with the artificial flowers. Once I am back from vacation, we will set our tree, and lights too.

I have bought myself a pencil cut red dress with red towering heels. A pair of nice red stoned earrings to shine behind my crazy curls. I am desperately waiting for 25th....

What else?

Yes, my list of wishes, it is ready, and I am sure Santa will give me a surprise this Christmas. I am blushing and waiting for Santa to come.

My only wish is a pain free life. My joints are stiff when I wake up, so I know Santa is listening to my wish, and will give me a surprise - a morning with pain free joints!

Gearing up.....:)

An Eye For An Eye .....No!

Last night I wept and I slept. But before sleeping I did my daily meditation. I felt better after it.  I could not blog but I conversed with my mind.

It is true that life is too short to like or admire people, why find time to hate others. My mind consoled me with a fact - an eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind. To get hurt is still fine and can be handled, but to hurt in return is a deliberate sin. If you cannot give happiness then why to make others sad. Hatred and counter reaction are easy things to do. Difficult is to smile without letting others know how bad you felt.....:)

Surrendering in life and to situations does not make one weak. Indeed, it needs lot of courage to smile and make others happy.

Few days away from Christmas.....close your eyes and pray for everyone's good......:)

wir so viel in der Liebe sind!!

Ok!

My wishlist for Santa Claus is almost ready. Omg! I have a long list of wishes. You must be thinking around the title of this post. This is German language and it means - 'wir so viel in der Liebe sind...(we are in so much of love).

I am no exception. I have my difficult times and tough days as well. At times, my people assume, my life is easy but it is not at all true.

I have seen the worst of things but I always fought with my problems. I used to tell my soul, my mind, and my heart - wir so viel in der Liebe sind...we are in so much of love. All three of them can be at peace when we believe in a fact - accept your problems as your challenges, and learn to handle them peacefully.

Next time, when you come across a problem/challenge just be at peace, take a deep breath, relax your mind, give yourself a smile, and tell your heart - 'wir so viel in der Liebe sind'

RIP Nelson Mandela!

I want to remember Nelson Mandela for his words, and his efforts to add more to the world of 'humanity'. I am blogging some of his quotes. Wonderful quotes as each of them has a deep meaning and lot to add to our lives. Let us remember a legend for his contribution to our lives and our world!

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
- Nelson Mandela

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear. - Nelson Mandela

A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination. - Nelson Mandela

For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. - Nelson Mandela

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart. - Nelson Mandela

If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner. - Nelson Mandela

I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing, whether it comes from a black man or a white man. - Nelson Mandela

There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered. - Nelson Mandela

Power of Words........

Words have a life. Think before you use them!

A word has the power to cause an injury, and the remedy as well. I have always believed in this fact of life - a wrong word can cause a severe injury to one's sentiments but a good word can put a smile to a face.

I wrote my sixth poem around Santa's Christmas gift for a cancer patient. It is the best and longest poem of mine. When I read my own poem, I almost cried. I forwarded the same to my family and friends. They had the same feedback. When a writer/poet can play with words to reach his or her reader's mind, you have covered half of your journey.

Words can express respect, love, gratitude, humanity and kindness.

Make sure you use a word to express good thoughts. Why to be remembered for bad words?

So think before you speak and hurt someone who loved you as a friend or family. It is not hard but impossibel to get good friends in life.

I will share my poem as a Christmas gift for my readers but it will be a part of my book as well.

Cheers!

Wonderful Story - Married or Not, You Should Read This One!

I am sharing a link to a blog where I read this piece of emotion. A wonderful story to illustrate a perfect example of acknowledging people and love in one's life. It left me touched!

http://avmediastudio.com/blog/married-or-not-you-should-read-this/

What I felt after reading this story?

It is so true. We should value time and people who enter our life. Lost time and lost relationships can never be the same again. It leaves many good moments but takes away the best moments. It is no use to regret after you lost the battle as you never tried to win it also!

Aati Rahengi Bahaaren, Jaati Rahengi Bahaaren.....:)

One of my all time favourite song and I almost cried now!!!

Aati Rahengi Bahaaren, Jaati Rahengi Bahaaren...

Hey Aati Rahengi Bahaaren, Jaati Rahengi Bahaaren, Dil Ki Nazar Se, Duniya Ko Dekho, Duniya Sada Hi Haseen Hai

My father's elder brother loves me the most among my siblings and cousins. He is more than a father to me but we could not meet this time. But yes, Canada dur nahin hain....lol!

Though we had frequent skype chats but I still missed a hug. His lovely gifts for me are yet to reach me. But last night a line by my foster father is the best Xmas and New Year gift for his favourite daughter:).

 'Good things must come to an end'.

I wanted him to extend his stay but he believes it is mandate to go back to home, and get back to work.

Maybe, I wanted more of my father's time. But how true it is when I think about this line - 'Good things must come to an end'.

Any good moment is enjoyable when it lasts for a while, not forever. Imagine - your first date or first kiss, your first job or first car, your first baby or your first promotion....that little moment brings you immense happiness to move further in life for many more.

If any friendship or relation ends after few months/ weeks or years, believe in a fact - 'Good things must come to a happy ending'. It was good so it ended at the right time and the right place. It might have turned into a bad phase, if it would have been taken to a next step in your life. The beauty of a rose is not forever. It is born to wilt and die but it does not live with this fact. It lives on a fact - 'good things must come to an end'......................:)

Happy Monday!
