Happy Weekend.....:)

After my colonoscopy and endoscopy - I am still reading 'The Fault in my Stars' , waiting for few more diagnosis. Three days in this hospital room and I value my life more and more....but still little bit more time to stay.... (:

Cattails September issue has my haiku published. My two senryu are also shortlisted in a haiku journal. This was my first attempt at writing senryu. It was fun. I am happy. More happy that my friends had shared my haiku book information on their walls and FB groups. So many wishes had come.

Yesterday night was tough; I could not eat after 35 motions and had nausea.  It was horrible. I thought i will die. I closed my eyes and kept chanting gayatri mantra. I saw a faded glimpse of my life episodes. It was a different...some faces...few names...???

Believe in God. Happy weekend.

:))))).......

I am hospitalised and finally out of CT scan. I am waiting for my mom to reach. I am blessed with a great husband who took care of me since monday evening.

I will be in hospital for another few days. I am really tired. I realised a fact of life - it is beautiful.  Live it. Love it. Trust me - I have gone the worse of time in last few hours but God is there.  You have to live life.....FB keeps me happy at the hospital bed. Lol...I am reading Fault in our stars as well.....I hate these cannula(s).

The only message I have for my readers - do not fight for small things. Life lufe and love people.

Happy Monday :)

It is a moment of happiness as my book – ‘A HAIKU PER DAY’ (a collection of one hundred haiku) is published. ‘A HAIKU PER DAY’ is a book inspired by my love for haiku. Haiku connects me to my surroundings. Quite often, my day starts with haiku and ends with haiku. Writing a haiku a day is like a rejuvenation process for my body, mind and soul. I have collected my best one hundred haiku written in English to be a part of this book. I want this book to be your book. No matter what your reason is for reading ‘A HAIKU PER DAY’, you will find this book – inspiring, enlightening and insightful. A HAIKU PER DAY is available in both paperback and kindle formats (available through Amazon distribution channels). To grab your copy – please click the below link

Senryu Mood !!

LOL...I just submitted my senryu for the first time. If it gets rejected for this journal, I will send it to others. For next three days, I just want to work on my first Haiku book.

Yes, I am making a big canvas for Diwali and also making candles from next week. Keep reading this space of my blog for the release of my haiku book and senryu updates. I died of laughing after reading my own senryu.....:)

Proud to share a poem (though I think it is best to address it as a limerick) written by my mother. I guess, I would love to introduce myself like this...<3

Neither I am fat nor thin
But I am in between

Neither I am milky nor cheesy
But I am very choosy

Neither I am pretty nor sweet
But I expect a good treat

Neither I am young nor so old
But I am very very bold

If anyone makes me his/her friend
The choice is at their end

Happy Weekend!

Control Your Breathing. Pattern !!

I am almost half-way of my reading - 'Fault in our Stars' by John Green. I am watching the movie chapter by chapter. A line by Augustus Waters in the Support Group - 'My roller coaster just goes up....and up' inspires me to live my life better and better :)...

I like the book as it marks a journey between life and death. It makes one believe in destiny and GOD!!

I just opened the window of 'Garden Of Chocolates' for corporate and festive orders, today morning. Spring cleaning is in full swing as I see myself getting lot more busier in next few weeks.

Last night, I was out for a family dinner. At the table, I listened to a great remedy for all pains, anger, despair and negativity. The art to live better - if we learn to control our breathing.

I give an example from my experience. When we are angry, we gulp words or stammer at couple of letters. This happens as we do not breath properly. We lose breathe, we lose our control of energy travelling to mind, and finally end up in stammering or gulping words. Imagine a priest who teach us are always calm, and their words really reach us in the right way. It happens as they have full control on their mind as they have control. Couple of minutes ago, I tried to follow it. So many things are told but I tried to control my mind by controlling my breathing pattern.

Anyways, 'Fault in our Stars' is a must read for my all readers.

Happy Monday!

Updates About Haiku -

The book is almost done! I am making the book cover and proofreading the work again. I might take few more weeks before I announce this book. This book will include all my published and ranked haiku as well. A number of new ku to make you feel proud of buying this book. I have also made notes around haiku for beginners with good examples from my work. I want my book to be read by every person irrespective of the fact - whether they know about haiku or not. I want a good mesmerising book cover just like my beauty :)))...I am not kidding ;). I plan to launch the kindle book and maybe audio book as well.

My one-line haiku is also published here at the below link - brass bell: a haiku journal

One- line haiku also published with many other haiku friends.

In today's Asahi Haikuist Network my two haiku have been shortlisted. I really like the way, David McMurray puts up his column. Thanks for a special mention in the 'FROM THE NOTEBOOK' section. I always wanted to be more featured in this column as it is really read by international students learning haiku. To read my work - please visit the below link:

Kanna - Read The Bday Wish Today!!

All I can write for a wish - Thank You. It means a lot to kanna, and will always!

Well, FB is strange as it sends a wish I waited the whole day to my 'others folder'. I just saw the 'others folder' as there were two messages. If 1000 people wish us and one person does not wish us - people like me wait for that one wish over the 1000 wishes. I guess all of us are like that. I hardly check my 'others' folder. So many messages come in a day and I hate to check them. I wish I would have checked it on my birthday. I thought my friend forgot my birthday. I thought deep inside that I invested in a wrong friend. Worse, I could not share with anyone how I felt the whole day. It happens ....you deserve too much from life, at times. I kept questioning - how can my friend forget my birthday and did all my calculations...blah blah....human nature...(:...But I assumed 'All is only for good - just to convince myself or the silly mind'.

But does that really matter. When you think of a friend every day, it does not matter. When you love your friend every day, it does not matter. And if you miss them every day, it does not matter whether they wished on your bday or not. But the fact remains - we still wait for that one wish!!!

It was a moonless night on my birthday. I could not talk to the moon about how I felt. At times, the moon helps me to answer my questions.

I also waited. All I can write for a wish - Thank You. It means a lot to kanna, and will always!

Hope my friend reads this as my friend never visits my blog. My friend does not even know I write a message on his/her birthday every August and push it to drafts before the next day starts. Maybe, some day my friend will visit my blog. And I will continue to write that one birthday message every year - as I feel true wishes reach our loved ones. Too late or may be never - I really don't know!!

Peace, Kanna!!

Sixth Position :)

Another contest and I got so many congratulations messages. Then I realised my haiku is on 6th place and so much appreciated.  Below is the link. Thanks for this.
