Last Post For Golden Moments of Writing.

Before I take off this blog - this is the last post under the label 'Golden Moments: Writing'. Of course you will read my writing updates but only on my FB official author page. To add I will make two labels available from this blog that will direct you to my writing and art accomplishments achieved over the span of four years. Rest all labels will go offline. I am done with the layout of 'The Inside Life' as well.

Versewrights published the following two tanka :

amidst
the ashes
these rose petals …
yet on my bed
I smell his perfume

falling
in the puddle
a dandelion flower …
still I wonder

where to go

And my certificate and book of the contest comes home. It is such an honour to be the winner of this contest. A detailed feedback of the judges left me overwhelmed. Three lines but so much told in them. This is the beauty of haiku.

SYTYL to 'The Inside Life'

Dear Readers -

Amazing journey of 'So You Think You Are Living' comes to an end. 6 years and lot of blogging. From emotions to thoughts - I blogged every bit of my life here. But as the saying goes - one journey ends so that we can start another, or if God closes one door He guides you to another.

SYTYL will be taken over by my new blog 'The Inside Life'. The title seems quite interesting, and that's the feedback of my friends with whom I shared this idea. I have closed  all other blogs, as well. I just want to write one blog as time permits me. SYTYL will be offline from July beginning once I share the details of my new and only blog.

FOR MY WRITING UPDATES - please refer my FB official author page. 'The Inside Life' will not redirect to my writing accomplishments. 'Garden of Chocolates' and 'Pyaar Se Pyaar Ho Gaya' are always available for my clients and readers. Yet not being on FB anymore, I make my work available to my readers.

It is time management. I do not want to be socially connected through any social portals (Facebook, orkut, instagram, and blah blah.....<3) but my FB pages are my investment of my work and efforts, and I do not want to disappoint my readers :). I will be creating a portal for Kala Sutra or maybe The Inside Life will have a blog about every painting. But as of now - NO!

Thank you for your messages in the last few days around my absence from FB that got me here to blog. Yes my account is not available anymore. Maybe once I pack my bags and go to Bali - one day I might be back....:):)...(a good joke)...

What is 'THE INSIDE LIFE'?

I give you a quick hint. You have to wait as I will post it on this blog before this month ends. You will get to read some true facts of life on this blog - not from my life but my observations that maybe you missed to see or realise. And taking my profiles off from FB et al is the first hint.

PS: To read my writing updates - refer to my page at the above link.

I will share 'The Inside Life' link before 30th June until then stay blessed, and stay healthy!

Honorable Mention - Another Recognition of 2016!!

My haiku received Honorable Mention at 2016 International Matsuo Bashō Award. The only feeling that help me to write better each day - not to look back in life. To cover my losses, I have to invest time and efforts. Late but still not too late.

I believe - it is not write for the top journals. But write in such a way that an ordinary journal becomes a top journal. My grandfather told me the mantra of his life - 'one who sleeps for long can never enjoy the first light. To reach at the top, your focus should be only at the peak not the hurdles encountered during the trail walk'. I am sure if he could see me from Heaven - he would not regret anymore. I might not live as I am mortal..but my name will live after me...the best gift for my family, and my loved ones.

Here is the link to the list of winning and mentioned poets.

My Daughter's Birthday!

4 years away from her but still she lives in my heart. And I really miss her today!

Recently I posted a picture of four generations. Surprisingly, all my friends questioned - 'where is the fourth generation?' Strange, the one who got me to her also forgot it (:...

People might not accept but for me it is a fact and it will never change.

6/6 - destiny where my favourite number is 6, and her birthday date and birthday month is 6. God is just great!

Loads of love to her.

New Look of My Blog - 2016

Every year I change the look of my blog. I make my blog offline to work on the necessary elements. I take off unwanted posts from the back end to give the best to my readers.

Hope my readers will like this bright look of my blog. I plan to change it every six months. Today, being 1st June - I am happy to share this classy and bright look.

I chose red as it is a colour of strength and love.

I have also changed the font types to give a more user friendly look. The font size is changed to 14 for better readability.

Nice combination of yellow, red and pink in this look.

Many unwanted old posts are taken off.

Look for a brighter year ahead with all of you.

Love

Archana
