Happy Gurupurab!

A very Happy Gurupurab to my readers and friends in India. Thanks to Babaji for everything HE created for us:)

Few meaningful quotes to enjoy this day with complete devotion to Babaji:).

Bow in humility at the lotus feet of the Guru. Eliminate sexual desire and anger from your body. Be the dust of all, and see the Lord in each and every heart. In this way, dwell upon the Lord of the Universe. Your body, wealth, and your soul belongs to God. Twenty-four hours a day, sing the glorious praises of God. This is the sole purpose of human life. Renounce your egotistical pride and know that God is with you. By the Grace of the Holy, let your mind be imbued with God's Love. Know the One who created you, and you shall be honored in the Court of God (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 866).

This human body has been given to you. This is your chance to meet God. All other works are of no use. Join the holy congregation and meditate on the Name of God (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 12).

The egotist is Blind; for his Conscience is Awakened not. He is the Killer of himself and so also the Killer of the world. (Majh M. 3)

Be kind to all beings, this is more meritorious than bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage and donating money (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 136).

Renounce sexual desire, anger, falsehood and slander; forsake maya and eliminate egotistical pride. Renounce lust and promiscuity, and give up emotional attachment. Only then shall you obtain the Immaculate Lord amidst the darkness of the world. Renounce selfishness, conceit and arrogant pride, and your love for your children and spouse. Abandon your thirsty hopes and desires, and embrace love for the Lord. O Nanak, the true one shall come to dwell in your mind. Through the True Word of Shabad, you shall be absorbed in the Name of Lord (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 141).

Practice truth, contentment and kindness; this is the most excellent way of life. One who is so blessed by the Formless God renounces selfishness, and becomes the dust of all (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 51).
