Phew - Good Updates !!

It has been a crazy week after a happy weekend!

Firstly - as I love children so I attended a charitable event at a school in Bengaluru. My husband and I were thinking of the same thought when the principal asked me - if I could conduct English classes for the children. This school is funded by a Christian Missionary, and they would love to have me on the board of volunteers. There was no reason to say - 'NO'. God is great!!

I am packed with lot of work. I am cooking all three meals. I am preparing for World Peace Day Marathon (doing 25 kms daily). I am also working on Author's United Welfare Wing (Btw, wait I have a good news to share around my success story of Author's United)....few days from now. Not to forget I have enrolled for a course starting 4th Sept to enhance my writing skills. Phew!! I feel to run away....:)

In the evening - I received my certificate of 'Fifth Honorable Mention'. So another reason to be happy. But recognition and passion demands time. I have been busy with submitting my work to different journals for Haiku, Tanka, Senryu and Haiga. I am glad my work is accepted for most of them, and two of my editors have given an inspiring feedback.

You will read me in the following journals -

I am left with two journals wherein I have am yet to submit. I am yet to hear from couple of journals as I submitted my work too soon to be considered :). I have submitted my haiku for all the contests for this year. I am left with monthly contrbutions that I will pen down as I get time.

I just started a painting to add to my Kalasutra Catalogue. I am making a Ganesha using Grains. To view my Kalasutra Catalogue - please click this youtube link :

Faith is the KEY!!

Kuch rishtey dil ke hote hain,
Aur Kuch rishtey dil se hote hain....

Nothing like faith between friends .............

My first chocolate to the first child in the queue at Sri Acharya Rakum School For The Blind was on behalf of my friend. Still remember my friend's words 'don't give a box to me. Give on my behalf at Sphoorti/NGO'. I did it last year. I also thought of these words as I did it this year, and will do every year. It's my faith in my friend's words. It's my faith in my years given to this friendship. My faith will live till I live. Sow Faith and Reap A Hope. As believed by me - some people make a place in your life. But few make a room in your heart. Trust me - if someone makes a place in your heart , you have to think of heart transplant to move on!!...LOL...and you will never opt for a transplant - as the more you go deep into it...the more it hurts and the more you start liking it!!

Nothing like faith between a mom and a daughter......

I told mom - 'I do not want bday wishes, maa. I know - this day means a lot to you as you delivered me. I want to be away for a while with myself. No wishes. No messages. No FB. No whatsapp. No skype. How long, I don't know maa but I want to be just with myself - chanting 'om', working out, writing haiku and reading books. I have stopped believing in things, events and people.'

My mom answered, 'Just do what gives you happiness. I will not ask any questions but I trust you.'

I was so much at peace as my mom understood my thoughts. She gave me space for myself. This year - no bday month celebration on my blog but my mother never questioned me. And, maybe it will be every year the same way. It's all about faith that helps the understanding to grow....

Nothing like faith in God .....

Since the age of 12  - I tie rakhi to Lord Krishna. When I got married, I packed all rakhi (s) in a box. My mom asked where am I taking these rakhi (s). And i answered, 'my new home'. All these years - i add a rakhi...Virgo (S) are like that. We collect memories. And I never know - one day Lord Krishna might come...it's all a game of faith in life.

If you have faith then you will understand - 'People come in one's life to give happiness; people go from one's life to give happiness'.

Amen!!

Back to Haiku Writing!!

Time to collate my published haiku for updating my LHA profile. As of now - the number of haiku under my profile is 91. I am sending more than 30 more haiku for the Chief Editor to pick for my profile. If he picks atleast 9 - I will be crossing the number 100. Nothing like reaching 100 in a year's time. I started writing haiku in Feb' 2014, and always wanted to be listed under Living Haiku Anthology. Winning titles in contest is exciting but nothing like leaving a piece of your work to be known by you after you!!

Sending haiku for journals. Really have to pen down some good ones. Today - it is a great day as I could manangeo send my haiku to three journals. Wrote almost 28 haiku in an hour.
