Five Years Completed !!

Dear Readers -

Today, I complete 5 years of my being self-employed. It was a journey with no destination. At times - in pool for 6 hours a day was fun; to accomplish a book after months was a moment of happiness. To take my brand of chocolates to different countries was like a dream come true. To paint and introduce my label to sell my art work pushed me really hard. I started with no funds and no expectations. Every day I had faced a new challenge. I have seen my roller coaster going down and then up....and up! From fixed income to also no income days - but I have cherished all of them. I loved all hard days of these five years as they made stronger in life. Thank you all of you who were part of my these five years. Happy Five!

Chen -ou Liu published my haiku and two translations for NeverEnding Story as below:
English Original
milky way –
one by one fireflies
up the hill

First Place, 2014 Haiku "Aha" Moment Contest
Archana Kapoor Nagpal

Chinese Translation (Traditional)

銀河 --
螢火蟲一隻接一隻
飛上山丘

Chinese Translation (Simplified)
银河 --
萤火蟲一只接一只
飞上山丘

You can read his comments to learn more around this haiku.

Just received and look forward to see German translation of my work in Chrysanthemum 17.
"Your submission has been well received. We are pleased to publish "autumn wind" along with the translation into German in the upcoming Chrysanthemum 17, April 2015."

Two of my senryu are shortlisted for Ershik #9. They will be part of English journal and Russian journal - scheduled to be published in April. Last year my work was translated in Chinese. This year my work will be translated in Russian language. I really look forward for the translated work to share with my readers.

Cattails coming issue will include my haiku. So far submitted to two journals and both are accepted. Look forward to Cattails to read my work alongwith other friends.

Study Time....

Two courses side by side. I cannot disclose until I get through my exams. But I am loving the fun of making notes, writing assignments and understanding the grading system. I am quite new to international grading system and it is hard for me to adapt to this concept but I never give up. So far my grades are good. I am in second week of my first course and my second course will start from Friday. So lot of study material to read.

I just took two hours to submit my haiku to the journals. My ankle is in pain and I have to resume my art classes from tomorrow. Just two classes are left for my workshop to get over. I just finished a Warli painting for my home (after 36 days of hardwork). Time to update my art blog and share the links on this blog soon. So life is running at a very fast pace. I sleep at 2 a.m or 3 a.m - as after all these activities I get to study only at night. But I am happy. No holi for me but I will colour thakurji.

Back to week 2 assessment.

Love you all,
Archana

A Video You Must Watch -

A link to a video for every man to watch. This girl answered all my questions that why am I always judged for my personal life or my name? I am proud to share this girl's video - she is an eye opener for many people. Hats off!

New Home :)

It feels good as after weeks of hard work and effort - I am in my new home. It was my 17th house shift in the last 35 years of my life, phew!!

Today, life just became so much busy. I had 3 hours of art workshop, 1 hr 17 mins for swimming, 2 hours of gymming, 1 hr for haiku writing and editing, studied warli art (btw, I am making a fabric painting for my home). And not to forget I also cooked dinner in between. I am dead tired and just feel to hit the sack. But I have to be awake till 2 am to finish a canvas that I am doing along with Warli Fabric Painting. Tomorrow is much more tough day with yoga added to the above schedule.

But I am enjoying life. I have seen some worst instances in last few months/weeks/days. I chose to be busy to get out of all the stress and unnecessary humiliation. I hardly get time to login to my Fb other than work related messages/ showcase my art job. I took my whatsapp and all other apps out of my device. I just want to concentrate on my work and workouts. I want to keep myself occupied with so many things that I forget everything that had left me hurt for no reason. We can only get hurt if we want to get hurt. This is my learning from life. I will still love all those who had hurt me but I will be a missing chapter from their lives. I have closed doors forever - I have stopped all interactions forever!

Remember - life moves on as it has to move forward. There is no looking back for busy people.

Keep yourself busy. Keep dreaming.

Love you all
Archana

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to my all readers. I love all of you. If I look back and revisit my last hospital stay in Dec 2014 - i promised myself to be more loveable to myself. I promised myself to live the way I want. It is good to be good but foolish to be extremely good to others. Life taught me many lessons but I have learnt too late. But as we say - it is never too late to love.

Yes this day I announce I will soon launch my label of Online Art Studio. My first three paintings are sold and now in Dallas. My another two paintings are ordered by clients. Once I move to my new house with my family - I will start making my new work. I guess I will lot more busy in new home.

I am enjoying the pace of life. Work is my first love. And I am happy as my husband loves me for my work. I feel blessed!

Love your love and support them as that's all you can do in love. Thank you to all of you for keeping me involved in writing and thinking. My life has really changed in last 6 years -the day I resigned from corporate world. At that time people knew my company and my process BUT today they know me. My journey is fulfilled!
