Writers Asylum...

Well, here is another link of my Haiku series that are approved by the editor and published on Writers Asylum.

I am almost half-way to complete my submission for Authors United Love Anthology Project. I am done with 815 words and few more to go. I am not a writer who can really write a love story BUT my perception has changed after I read my own story. I do not believe in a theme like 'Love' but that is the challenge. But I am shocked to read m own story <3

From Tuesday I will starting my independent project. I am reading biography of Steve Jobs and Mahatma Gandhi as well. I will start with preface that will be around my first meeting. I am also collecting all the articles for the future chapters. It will be a lot of work for sure :)

Wishing all my readers a very Happy Weekend!

Cheers!

Keep Dreaming...I am sure dreams surely comes true..................<3

My New Book Project - Venkatesh Yethiraj!!

Dear Readers/Friends –

Wait is OVER! Countdown ENDS!

I take all the pride to share the subject of my book. Let me introduce honourable Venkatesh Yethiraj – the man behind my new book project. A man who has bagged 54 medals in arena of paraplegic (Gold – 34, Silver -9, Bronze – 11). He is my inspiration for writing a book on journey of his life. I am very selective when it comes to my books or short story contest themes. I believe there is a second of inspiration in every minute of life. My books are written with a thought – ‘if a line of my work can inspire a person for ten minutes – my job as an author/writer is done!’ I have always written for people and my stories have been inspired by their lives. You have read articles around his achievements and awards but I will present a book to read his extraordinary journey in all these 44 years.  It is an honour to write about him; I select his journey of life as my book as it is a true story of inspiration. Tough job for my editor as well! Thanks to all those who have read me so far. It is a long project of more than a yearJ. You will hear about it around the end of 2015.

Maa....

I just completed writing my poem for my inspirational column - FG. This is about mother and will be published around 'mother's day'. I believe one does not have to deliver a baby to write a poem about motherhood. The feelings of a woman can make her write about it.

I cited the poem to my mother few minutes ago. She loved it. I am sure - my readers will also like it. Last minute few edits are pending and then it is all set to be mailed.

Until mother's day, my profile picture will be with my darling daughter Sanjana. From now till mother's day, I am just her mom <3. Oops, I am loving it.................!!!!

Cheers <3

Author's United Blog - Published !!

I have been working on a blog for our international group. After 36 hours of hard work - I am done with the blog. I am not the administrator of this blog. Other than the first post, all the future posts will be posted by the blog administrator. I am happy that I designed this blog. Time to move on to my Haiku chapbook.

Here is the link of the blog. You can read the first post. But in future the posts are not written by me - http://authorunited.blogspot.com/

Last night I wrote about a new start. But at times we carry few things from past to present. But carry them as good memories whether your ring tones, chocolate wrappers - make sure you keep them for a good reason. My friend read my blog and asked me the same question - 'Can we start again in life?'

My answer was - try it at least but do carry your good memories from the past. And she laughed the moment my cell rang :)

A haiku that I wrote for the day. A beautiful definition of farewell. I do not think farewell is a hurtful word. I see a positive side to this word, and I try to represent the same in my ku !

farewell --
last raindrops ripples
on a pond

Good Night <3

Restart Theory...

My mother's dad was an ordinary man. He was not a rich father and worked in a clerical division of a government body. But he was a man who was rich in his values and principles. My mother always called me as his daughter. She believed that my facial feature, honesty in my eyes, and my values are inherited by him.

In my childhood, I used to often stay at my grandparent's home. The mango trees in the backyard and gobi parathas are still fresh in my mind. At times, I used to ask my grandfather a question - 'Can we start our life again?'

He used to laugh followed by his determinant answer - "YES". I was always made to close my eyes and then he would place a fruit on the floor (he had no money to buy a table). In my first turn, it used be an apple. Second time he would replace apple with an orange. Third time a carrot and so on.....

Years passed by and the game continued until I realised that each time he was changing the fruit. I got upset and fought with him. He was still polite, and explained to me his strategy to teach me - how to start your life again. He changed the fruit (assuming it as a situation). In simple words, he meant if I cannot change the situation, I can always replace it with a better situation. Apple cannot be an orange but we can always replace apple with an orange. Changing to a better situation is not escaping but finding a solution to a problem that cannot be resolved. Every problem does not have a solution.

Today, when I was upset with myself, I thought to restart. It takes time to replace situations in life but it is not impossible. At times, we kick ourselves out of other's life as we know we might make their lives miserable with our journey of pain. At times, we prefer to lose rather than to cling to spoil or mess up lives.

30 sun salutation, 6 kms walk, light meals, 2 kms of swimming, and a new start. Change the word 'restart' to 'a new start'. You do not need money to be rich. All you need is patience, contentment and love to sacrifice in life. It is your values that make you rich not the wealth. It takes time but soon people will understand your actions. If they do not understand - just replace apple with an orange <3

Haiku Chapbook.....

Recently, my plans to start my Masters in Psychology are dismissed by my spine consultant. I am not permitted to sit for more than 20 mins and it is sad.

But I resumed my work around my chapbook of Haiku. I have written 110 haiku so far. My chapbook is in halfway.  I sit for 20 mins and then change my posture. Arthritis is a very painful condition. It kills your will power. You become helpless but life does mot stop......

One of my favourite haiku that got many likes yesterday. I got loads of comments for this haiku.....

dappled sunlight --
melted snow on her
grave

I do not know but I imagined my own grave while I wrote this. Comments like 'wonderful work' et al made me feel - I wrote this haiku with an honest heart.

I plan to launch my chapbook in few months from now.

:)

Fool's Day :)

Another day of the year but termed as fool's day. I am planning to stop this blog...lol...just fooling my readers:)

After a long time, I thought to blog few lines. I just wrote a Haiku and thought to take a break. Life is busy, and I have decided to start my Masters in Psychology (still gathering data).

I am almost in half-way of completing my book of Haiku and feeling good about it. My friend gave me a wonderful suggestion. He wants me to me get a website done for myself with all the links to my books and art work. I am working on this thought for last one year but get trapped by other commitments.

I am sharing a great link around our latest anthology - 'A Pinch of Love, Peace and Humanity'. It is featured on a blog that is mainly around book reviews and the credit goes to one of the contributor of our anthology. I would like to thank Sunday Igwebuike for all his efforts behind this review.

I also designed a logo for our anthology group - Author's United. I am sharing it with all my readers. Here we go -

Happy Fool's Day!
